Bergdorf Goodman rang in their new year and holiday season with a range of festivities, including an exclusive party at their flagship midtown NYC location. To mark the occasion, Optical Animal was commissioned to create a gallery of animated character portraits, in a modern technological twist on the ornately framed classical collections found elsewhere throughout the store.

Optical Animal developed and provided the stylized series of animated vignettes, as well as all fabrication, a synched system design, and onsite install. The experience also included a streamlined "text-to-display" feature, with a custom web-based UI that allowed party goers to answer prompts into their phones via a QR scan, and then see thier messages tapped out by an animated typewriter in real time.
