Optical Animal provided projection mapping and architectural scenic design for two ambitious film projects by the filmmaker Jem Cohen, spanning two years and four cities across Europe and the U.S.

Each of the films, "We Have An Anchor" and "Gravity Hill: Sound + Image", were accompanied by a live soundtrack performed by Jim White, Guy Picciotto, Efrim Menuck, Sohpie Trudeau, Jessica Moss, Mira Billotte, Matana Roberts, and T. Griffin. Both projects included moments where portions of the film were projected simultaneously onto the center/main cinema screen, as well as parts of the interior of each theater, and onto an installed holographic scrim material as well.

Optical Animal toured with the ensemble, designing a scrim/projection layout & strategy unique to each space, advancing shows, installing servers and running the expanded content for each performance.
