Hotel Indigo LES announced their grand opening with an architectural projection mapping show by Optical Animal. OA mapped the 26-story facade of the new property with original video art and animations designed to pay homage to the rich cultural history of the Lower East Side.
Optical Animal was honored to collaborate with legendary graffiti artist Lee Quiñones to develop much of the live action and animated content for the facade, as well as several additional installations on the inside of the hotel. Quiñones' process, style, anecdotes and philosophy on art-making had the OA team fully enraptured and dialed in as we worked to create a show and overall program that lived up to it's surrounding context.
